Ep 6: Demystifying Your Diet

In this Episode Chad and Nick talk about nutrition!

Nutrition…Now that’s pretty broad.  As we could talk for days about nutrition, we are going to focus on demystifying your diet. In other words we want to set the record straight about some of the misconceptions in the nutrition world.

 

We are going to be discussing 3 main topics:

 

  1. Increase your protein intake: aim for 1g/lb of ideal weight if looking to lose weight, otherwise try to keep at least .75 g/lb

  2. Don’t fear saturated fats (like from animal sources). Embrace them! Same with cholesterol. Seed oils are the devil!

  3. Add salt to everything! Avoid salt that is bright white in appearance. Look for unrefined salt that is usually pink, beige or gray in appearance
