Dr. Nick graduated from Springfield College with his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in 2015 and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2017. While completing the first four years of his coursework, he played college basketball for Springfield. Dr. Nick served as a team captain for two years and also worked as a graduate assistant coach for the basketball team for one year following his playing career. During this time, he gained much experience with high-level strength and conditioning, and sport-specific training.
Through his studies and first few years in the field, Dr. Nick gained a wide array of clinical experiences, where he was exposed to traditional methods of physical therapy assessment and treatment, as well as newer schools of thought. Through this combination, Dr. Nick has developed an extremely comprehensive approach to treating patients of all ages and injuries. He is trained in helping individuals achieve maximal function, and is motivated and enthusiastic in assisting them to reach their goals.
Having sustained numerous ankle injuries throughout his basketball career, Dr. Nick has developed a keen interest in treatment of foot and ankle dysfunction. This passion led to the emergence of one of our own unique group classes, called ProFeet. It is an exercise class unlike no other, devoted to helping individuals regain a healthy relationship with their feet!
Dr. Nick is also very enthusiastic about his continuing education. Along with being a physical therapist, he is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and a certified Nutrition Coach Level 1 (Pn1) through Precision Nutrition. Dr. Nick also specializes in Functional Dry Needling (FDN1), Personalized Blood Flow Restriction (PBFR), is a Graston Technique provider, and holds a certification in the science and application of Heart Rate Variability (HRV).
Outside the clinic, Dr. Nick enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is passionate about his own training, as he strives to maintain a high level of health and fitness. Dr.. Nick also enjoys skiing, playing basketball, and jumping in the ocean at all times of the year!
